Each green alphabetic letter links to its section and has a sub-menu to aid word selection.
English (not Sanskrit) alphabetical order is used.
Sanskrit pronunciation – here is an elementary guide.
Searching on a laptop – while pressing the Control key (or Command ⌘ key on a Mac) tap the F key. Enter a search term in the box that appears.
Searching on a phone/tablet – tap the magnifying glass icon ☌.
Search by url – add a hash # and a search term to the end of the glossary's url. For example, for udānaḥ use https://arshavidya.org.uk/glossary-of-sanskrit-terms.php#udana. Every glossary term has an ID (denoted by a #) to aid search.
Search spellings – use the uninflected word form (lowercase only) of the IAST transliteration scheme in searches. Diacritics need not be used. (The ITRANS transliteration scheme is not used here.)
